Fleeksite Websites

It's been a while, I've been working on some more projects, the big one is finally complete: Fleeksite Web Hosting Platform.

It's a platform developed with Elixir/Erlang, the same language that has powered Facebook and WhatsApp and even Discord.

The goal of the project was to develop a platform thats:

1. Easy To Use

2. Easy To Maintain

3. Efficient

4. Search Engine Optimised

5. Customisable

6. Fast.

I'm glad to say that all these goals were achieved - and then some.

All websites built on the platform can handle tens of thousands of request and visits in short periods of time without any significant speed drop. We've simulated this and tested numerous times.

All optimised sites on the platform load faster in the America's than 85% - 96% of all other sites as recorded from tens of runs on the Pingdom website speed tester.

The interface was made for non-technical users to be able to navigate the system easily. To achieve this I got non-tech savvy people to give their view on the system throughout its development and they were very pleased with the results.

All the sites have the option of turning on/off Search Engine Optimisation - by default it is on and it works great! I had to wait days or weeks for sites I built in the past to show up on google, however on this platform they've shown up in a couple days or less.

In the blog, I've also went through a few of the other reasons for the development of the platform and how users benefit from it, but even so that's just the surface, there's a lot more goodies when you actually get to using the platform.
